About Stacey Christoff

My son showed signs of autism around 18 months. The only thing that was hard to grasp was how "unautistic" he seemed. Everyday became a checklist...is he, isn't he? I always knew he was on the spectrum, but where was his place. I knew I didn't want to label this little boy, but I searched for answers with every part of my being. Joshua was diagnosed with autism, but high functioning autism. That meant with therapy, dedication, and love Joshua would conquer this disorder. He would become a hero of autism to inspire other families that success stories aren't only possible, but attainable.

Joshua was finally able to TELL us what toy he wanted! At 3 years old

We figured out why he like to go to the store so much these days!!!!

  • The only thing I ever wanted to hear him say was "I love you"!!!! Brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it. I probably ask him to say it too much lol. Now his speech is great and he hardly stops talking. Hard work and faith pay off! Thank you Lord....I couldn't have done it without you!

I Knew One Day It Would All Just Click

Slightly poetic that I accidentally videoed Joshua’s first successful bike ride in slow motion. I never pushed bike riding on him because it was just too hard motor skills wise. I knew one day it would all just click on his on time. So here we’re are today, proud as can be that he […]

What a Difference a Year Makes

A year ago today my son said sentences like…
“This is yummy”, “What is this Mama”, “Its not your turn” Today he had every teacher coming to us wanting to be the first one to retell the story of what he had said today.

Joshua hates ‘centers’ he’s not interested in . So deciding […]

You never know how strong you are, Until being strong is the only choice you have

All my life I wanted to be a mom. Some girls wish to be teachers, doctors, veterinarians, but I dreamed of being a mother. Maybe because it was something I didn’t have, a mother daughter relationship I so longed for. So I would daydream about how great of a mother I would be. […]
